
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25, 1994) is an ex-retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She served as captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She received the gold medal at the team competitions during the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas as her teammate also took home gold. Raisman took home silver medals for the all-around individual and floor exercise. Raisman also won silver medals in the individual all-around as well as for floor exercise. She was also the two-time national champion of floor exercise (2012,2015) as well as the 2012 national champion on the balance beam and five-time medalist in all-around competitions at national championships (silver and bronze in 2016 in 2010, 2011 (2012), 2012 and the year 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
