
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is the captain of San Diego Wave FC. She was also co-captain of the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she completed her degree early at the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. There, she made her debut in professional football and assisted the team in winning the league championship. Morgan, who was 22 at the time was the youngest athlete on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, in which the team finished second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada at the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She was second in the United States to have 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012, making her the seventh-highest-scoring player in the country to score 20 goals in one year. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States winning their titles at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. She was named to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
